Confidence comes from context
An estimate should come with an explanation.
Waxbase keeps the evidence right beside the number.
Matching sold prices, comp counts, and confidence. The plain sold value stays visible beside the Waxbase Value estimate.
Too few matching sales? We say so. An honest gap is more useful than a number that has nothing behind it.
The accuracy scorecard compares past estimates with the real sales that followed. No moving the goalposts.
Good questions
A few things worth knowing.
No fine-print scavenger hunt.
Scan the front and back of a sports card, organize it in your collection, and see values based on matching sold prices. Player stats and price trends help you spot cards worth a closer look.
The plain sold value comes from matching sales. The Waxbase Value is a separate estimate using real sales, current listings, price trends, and available player stats. You can see the sales, confidence, and inputs behind it. With too few matching sales, Waxbase says Not enough sales.
Card scanning and values cover football, baseball, and basketball. Player stats, Waxbase Stock, game day, and live alerts cover the NFL for now.
No money changes hands in Waxbase. It helps you understand your cards and suggests a list price when the data supports one. You choose whether and where to list them yourself.
Yes. Slabbed cards are matched with sales for the grading company and grade shown. A photo-based Condition estimate for a raw card is separate from a professional grade.
No. The Waxbase Value and Condition are estimates. A price or player signal is context, not a promise of a sale or profit. You remain in control of every listing.
